The ECF recently organised the inaugural Online British Championships, featuring a bewildering array of events. Congratulations to Max Wilton and Arjun Kolani – the new British Online Under 16 and Under 14 Blitz Champions respectively. Arjun was also second in the Major Open. Congratulations to ex-Sussex junior FM Rhys Cumming who has just taken his first step towards the International Master title. Rhys, who captains our Sussex Martlets teams in the 4NCL chess league, came third in an over the board tournament in Portugal, earning his first IM Norm.
