The folk of East Grinstead Bookshop Chess Club proved themselves to be both pioneering and hardy – as far as we know the first club in Sussex to offer outdoor, post-lockdown, socially distanced, over the board chess…..albeit in unseasonally chilly temperatures.
A mix of seasoned campaigners and enthusiastic juniors braved the cold last Sunday – pictured is 5 year old Euan – at least it didn’t snow!
