Today saw our Under 9s compete in the latest online event organised by Barnet in place of the usual EPSCA over the board inter-county championships.
The format was a fast and furious team battle – great fun, but not always the best thing for developing chess technique!
Team manager Mike Forster was pleased with the performance commenting “our average performance was a solid 32 points higher than our average rating, with some fantastic individual results”. Special mention to RainbowClimber who came third in the “Rising Stars” tournament running alongside.
