Kit Blades, Luke Freeman and Nayan Keats Rastogi were all selected to represent the NCJS (National Chess Junior Squad) at the annual Tournament of Young Talents in Frydek-Mistek, Czech Republic.
All three were in the Under 15 section and competed over a gruelling 9 rounds.
All three performed well in their first chess tournament overseas and will have grown from the experience. Congratulations to Kit who came first out of a field of 40 entrants on tie-break with 6.5 out of 9, followed by Nayan on 6. The team were presented with a special cake.
Thanks to Sussex’s Mike and Debbie Forster for leading the England delegation.
