33 travelled to Great Walstead school, just outside Haywards Heath, to compete for the title of Sussex Under-7 Champion.
Several had played at the Sussex Megafinal last month, but for many it was their first taste of tournament conditions outside of their school chess club. The standard of chess was very pleasing, and the behaviour and concentration excellent.
We look forward to seeing everyone back on October 26th to compete again as Under-8s.
