Sir Patrick Moore joins SJC!

World renowned astronomer, chess player and Sussex resident Patrick Moore, today agreed to join Sussex Junior Chess as ‘Honorary Vice President’.
Patrick is a keen chess player, and once used to play for Sussex at a representative level. Patrick used to play with a grade of around BCF 170, but admits he is now a bit rusty! It is hoped that he will be able to attend some of the Sussex Junior Chess events over the coming months, and that his own brand of enthusiasm will attract more juniors to the game of kings.
Rumours that the SJC newsletter will be renamed to ‘The Sky at Knight’ have already been denied !
