Congratulations to Avyanna who finished as the ‘Top U8 Girl’ in the Delancey UK Chess Challenge Blitz tournament last weekend.
The UKCC have been very pro-active in organising a huge variety of online chess events during the current Covid-19 situation.
Avyanna took part in the U8 Mixed Blitz tournament which started with 99 players across 6 preliminary events. She was one of 24 to qualify for the final and played 11 rounds against very tough opposition, finishing in 11th place with 6/11, securing the Top Girl gold medal. Well done Avyanna!
