Several Sussex juniors travelled to Trafalgar Square yesterday to enjoy Chess Fest – a fun and free event staged by Chess in Schools & Communities.
Some of the events on offer included a living chess set where professional actors took on the role of chess pieces recreating famous chess games; and a “Challenge the Chess Master” tent.
Many of the UK’s top titled players took part, including our own SJC President GM David Howell, and SJC Coach IM Tom Rendle.
