Sussex players help Oxford to victory in 2021 Varsity match

At the end of October, the 139th “Varsity Match” Oxford vs Cambridge was played at the Royal Automobile Club in London. All in all, Cambridge is slightly ahead in matches, but this year Oxford won 5.5-2.5.

Over the years several ex-Sussex juniors have been selected to take part in this prestigious and historic match including FM Rhys Cumming who now captains our Sussex Martlets 4NCL teams.

This year however, 3 Sussex players were selected – all on the Oxford team. Daniel Sutton and Dominic Miller were stalwarts of Sussex Juniors for many years starting as under 11s. FM Tom O’Gorman briefly strengthened our Under-18 teams while studying at Brighton College.
