Theo Penty won the fiercely contested under 12 group, having appeared to have lost his last game against Michael Hamilton, but an unforced blunder by Michael from a winning position allowed Theo to hang on to a clear lead. Good performances from the visiting Wiltshire contingent pushed many of the local players into lower than expected positions.
