Congratulations to Elizabeth Finn, Alec and Tim Hedger, Polina , Solomon Mitchell and Leo Yu; all selected to represent the National Chess Junior Squad (NCJS) in Chrzanow, Poland.
The trip features a mix of serious chess opportunities and sightseeing to salt mines.
The chess activities included a simul against a GM – well done to Leo who secured a draw. In a blitz tournament against a local chess club both Alec and Tim won their sections, and Elizabeth was second in hers.
