Sussex Closed Girls’ Championships
Sunday 2nd December 2018, Burgess Hill Girls School
50 girls from all over Sussex descended on Burgess Hill to contest the 2018 Sussex Closed Girls Championships with festive jumpers much in vogue.
Both the U11 and U18 sections boasted a range of experience from near novices to England players, with an age range of 5 to 18. It was really pleasing to see a record 4 school teams in the U18 section. Running alongside the competition was one of our training days, and after prizegiving the girls joined the boys for a Christmas tea with food, crackers and a very popular raffle.
Thanks are due to Burgess Hill Girls School for the venue, all the parents for giving up their Sunday to support their daughters, and all our volunteers:
