In a competition which is always graced with a good number of strong players from outside the county, it is pleasing to report that two of the three titles went to home grown talent. The hardest fought section was the under 18’s, where Theo Penty was a clear winner with 5½ out of 6. In second place with 5/6 was another Sussex player Michael Hamilton, and in third, Essex Star Ezra Lutton.
The Under 11 major saw a tie for first place with Joe Richardson and Kenrick De Nazareth (Kent) both on 5 out of 6. However, it was Joe who took the title on the sum of progressive scores.
The under 11 minor was jointly won by Richard Lobo and Ranjitha Modali, both from outside the county.
