Many of you will know Sue Howell as one of our arbiters, and Oli's Mum. But she is a chess player in her own right and in addition to playing over the board chess she has long been an active correspondence chess player - so great news that she has just earned her ICCF Lady International Master title.

Thursday 1st June – 17 children from 7 schools entered the Uckfield Academy Minor Magician event at Uckfield Youth Centre, with UCTC winning Top School and Blackboys Top Primary School, with Michael Stockham of UCTC the individual champion.
Friday 2nd June – 12 children from 6 schools entered the Burgess Hill Academy Minor Magician event at Birchwood Grove, with the hosts winning Top Primary School and Downlands the Top School, and Jack Barnett of The Burgess Hill Academy was individual champion.
